Bobtail parking ticket at walmart.. cop lied on ticket

With that said, it may not be the Walmart signs the cop wrote you up for, but a city ordinance? What's the ticket say for the law number that was broken?

I figure this is the case since you said 2 Walmart employees received tickets in the Wal Mart parking lot.

Why would a cop be strolling the Walmart lot looking for abandoned cars and expired tags?

 

They all should be. Take down the MEN and WOMEN signs. Put stalls around all the stools. Problem solved. Or like the Montana rest area on the west end of I-90. Individual rooms for each stool.

Okay, okay, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to cruise the lot occasionally if it is a known dumping ground for stolen cars, bodies, etc.

 

So why does Walmart have signs? As I said before Walmart probably does not own the parking lot and another company does and leases it to Walmart. Quite common and they probably have a rule. Otherwise why the signs

Its my understanding that cops cant give a ticket in a Walmart/Home Depot etc parking lot, unless its a public nuisance or hazard. Even those half sized stop signs are not enforcable unless it directly before a public road. Stuff like DUI is a hazard so is enforcable.

 

What about the Private Property sign as you enter the lot, did you get permission from the owners of the property to park ?
Wal-Mart, Burger King and others are tenants

 

That makes sense Im sure everyone who enters that parking lot contacts the owner and asks for permission
