It is not ridiculous,a truck is a truck. It says no parking it means just that,NO PARKING!!!!!!!! Just because you're in a bobtail why would Wal-Mart or any place that doesn't allow Truck parking cater to you? That's not any different then a shipper or receiver that doesn't allow overnight parking or even parking on their lot hours before you're scheduled appt time, theyre not going to allow bobtails if they don't allow semis.
Bobtail parking ticket at walmart.. cop lied on ticket

It said no parking or RVs or Tractor Trailers, the signs were specific to what is not allowed.
If Walmart didn't want ANY and ALL different types of trucks all they would that to do is post a sign SAYING so.
A sign saying "no trucks over 5 tons" for example would mean no bobtails, no box trucks, no tractor trailers etc etc.
If Walmart posted a sign saying that then this thread wouldnt even exist. -
If you're so adamant that you're in the right because of semantics why even ask the question. just go fight it, and lose imo, and pay the fine. it's probably not a Walmart policy, it's most likely the property owners . Seriously people, it's a #### walmart, they build truck stops for a reason.
ncmickey, Pnwtrucker, roshea and 1 other person Thank this. -
So why do you suppose the sign had no tractors in it?What exactly is your deffinition? That means ALL TRUCKS no matter the size or weight. If you see a sign that says no truck parking would that mean to you it's ok to drop your trailer? Some things you have to think for yourself and no jury in the world will find you not guilty in this case.In fact they'll probably laugh thruout the trial.Pnwtrucker, Stormy 69 and Eeyore05 Thank this.

Well in order to drop your trailer at the walmart lot you would have needed your tractor to bring it in and the sign said "no tractor trailer parking"
You would have had to park that tractor trailer before even being able to drop it meaning you were illegal in the first place.
I'm amazed at the amount of people whom think a "no tractor trailer sign" means endless amount of things.
Frankly I'm surprised nobody yet mentioned the no tractor trailer signs also means no garbage or Cement truck parking lol. -
1. because it does mean endless things . it means trucks! your semantic issue you are trying to argue with your ticket, is the same as the sign. yet you only see it so it's in your favor. please, join reality.
2. they don't have time or need to park at a Walmart they are busy... working -
But it's snowing there
-
Why be surprised, youre the only one I see that doesn't know the meaning.Garbage and cement trucks still applies.Pnwtrucker Thanks this.
