Hi All, I’m hoping someone can help me. I had to do a name change on my business name. Somewhere In the process I forgot to list the LLC at the end of my business name. So when I called to have it changed on my Boc-3 they gave me a quote of $150. I’m like what?? Has anyone had to do this and is that a normal price or am I getting taken for a ride?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Who is “they”? My process agent charges $50 a year for the process agent renewal. Everything else is basically the straight up amount I owe (IFTA, Registration etc.) plus a small $50 or so quarterly fee for doing it all. $150 for a 10 minute update on paperwork seems a bit nuts. are you using a random agent or someone local?
I figured it out. I needed to do a name change and add LLC to my business name and the agent gave me that price thinking I needed them to do the name change as well as process it on the FMCSA website however I did the name change myself and had them refile and it was only $30 so all is good now. Thanks for your help though
