Nearest oc to my house 250 miles away. Low pay. Driver manager got fired and got his crew stirred up. But later I found out why he was fired and it was kind of dirty of him to do that to his drivers.

Dms get a bonus for how many miles their team runs. He was cutthroat, stealing loads out from under other teams' drivers. Starve out underperforming drivers. It was great if you were one of his pets, as was I. Not so much for everyone else. I was told he was warned several times over 2 years but wouldn't stop.

    Lonesome and BennysPennys Thank this.

Too bad can't play by the rules, because it does motivate dms to lookout for their people. I think I've been blessed with another good one though. He's been with them a long time and I've worked with him before.

So now there’s a terminal in your town and you can’t afford to have hometime ?

Yes, I will be able to afford hometime at last. Still gotta run hard, but the terminal location was insurmountable before.

Dale thompson and Cat sdp Thank this.

Your last sentence on auto braking only applies if the auto emergency braking system is working properly… I’ve driven a truck that the stupid thing would slam on the brakes full force which could literally cause whiplash… on slippery roads, rush hour traffic 10 lanes divided highway picks up shadow of overpass or overhead highway signs, does not follow contour of roads; slams brakes several times when in construction going around curved lanes and the system detects an immediate impact from the concrete barriers that are dividing the lanes, even though the lane curves away from said barriers… the list of imperfections of auto braking goes on and on.

Any experienced driver does not agree with auto braking because it can not consider all other choices besides braking hard.

Auto braking is dangerous when it cannot differentiate and take into consideration all peripherals that an experienced driver does before resorting to slamming on the brakes!!! I have 35 years in! Highly qualified to make this statement…
