Well, Borden's milk is $4.50 a gallon and Walmart milk is $1.80 a gallon. When your price is to high, your sales go in the dumper. I know people don't like Walmart, but in most situations, the lower price will move the product.

Borden was bought by a private equity firm in 2017. That explains the bloated liabilities to assets.
Corporate raiders doing their finest. Killing another company, while profit taking.

It’s like DaimlerChrysler all over again! Borden used to be a household name when it came to dairy, and their dairy was high quality! #rapingandpillaging
Now if something happens to Oberweis,we as a society are doomed!

Poor Elsie , standing in the soup line after all these years.

In the article it said (my terms) the blood suckers want to access the pension fund to pay debt.
I'm sure it is their own self imposed debt.

As with most consumer driven industries its adapt or die .
Remember RCA and when you bought appliances and such at the appliance store? .
The UAW and the big 3 have already sealed they're fate .
The list goes on and on .

Thing is, most dairy is regional.

I love that I get milk from two major local producers (Rutters & Clover Farms.) I can taste the freshness, and I hate the milk from out of the area. I think there's some non-compete tax though because the generic milk at the store is only about 50 cents cheaper than the local. So I pay extra because they are literally in the same city.

The new progressive generation was raised on soy milk. Now they go to Starbucks and order soy lattes. Milk is animal abuse.
