Anyone have experience crossing over a border, preferably the Canadian one, while having a pet in the truck?
Obviously you need all the appropriate paperwork and shots etc.
But besides that.. is it a big hassle; does it slow down crossing times significantly? Or is it not a big deal as long as you have your i's dotted and your t's crossed?

Ok. Sounds like its not an issue then. Good to hear.
Perhaps canned dog food would be less questionable? I'll keep the food issue in mind if I decide to take my dog with me, so thanks for the heads up. -

When I used to drive OTR I crossed from the US to Canada several times and back again (even after 9/11) . Never had a problem concerning my dog.
Just make sure you have ALL shot and health records, I was never asked, but they may.Last edited: Feb 21, 2011
