As mentioned above, I have two MacBooks Pro from 2010/2012 that work great after I upgraded the HDD to SSD and maxed out the RAM... only thing is I can’t upgrade the OS anymore... was thinking of moving one to Linux and start to play around with that OS a bit. Those laptops still have a lot of life in them and I wouldn’t mind exploring Linux.
Bought a new laptop.

late 90s is the last time i dealt with linux. i was also still in high school. i began using it for gaming, hosting servers etc. quickly realized how fast and secure it was. once i graduated high school and spent 3 semesters in computer science, in the early 2000s, i realized i'm not the office type. i liked games and programming but i thought i'd end up in a cubicle somewhere. i now wish i had stayed with it from the beginning.

but I do listen to a station “back home” in Illinois ... they stream their broadcast over the internet so it’s a good option for me when I do listen to music in the Truck.
