Report back what they say please.

I'm betting your gonna need a title signed by the previous owner and lien holder.

    Cmetruckin25 Thanks this.

What paper work did you use to title the truck. What did you do first

You bought a truck, how much could they have been stealing?

If it makes you feel any better you won't be the last person to come and tell a tale of woe.

I don't care what others say, you finance large purchases EVEN if you have money to buy them outright. The exception is a business but that's another situation.

The reason is the finance company has some means to fix a few problems like this, they have a stake in all of it not to lose money, and most of the times you can ask for help with problems like this.

Finance it, then pay it off within a couple months after you get it. You will have to get a release and pay for an updated title, but this isn't really much compared to what others have gone through.

I don't know why Texas is so anal about titles and such, here I use a bill of sale because it is a commercial vehicle, and apply for a title, which goes into the system and they notify the state where it was previously titled that it was transferred.

Cam Roberts and Cmetruckin25 Thank this.

So you have to have the title to get it registered? A bill of sale from your dealer won't work?
