I volunteer to drive if needed.
Just provide water, and smokes, and coffee, and beer. Thanks.
Bought a truck, need to get it from Indianna to Michigan.

Thanks guys.
As long as he is reputable Hurst. I have been following you for years. Trust your judgement. -
He has helped me when I needed it though. When my truck was down and I was running out of money,.. he put me to work in his RGN so I could get my bills paid.
I just dont want you under the illusion that he has all these accounts to make you rich. Its not like that with him at all. But here you can learn EVERYTHING you need to be completely independent. His wife will do your IFTA, he has a tax guy and accountant. They do the payroll and tax deductions for my driver. And if he ever tries to sell you one of his trucks on his payment plan,.. come see me first,.. I'll tell you which ones to stay away from. The old adage that no one sells a money making truck is 100% true with him,. LOL

All the drives are recaps which I am not a fan of but owner says they are all on virgin cases which I believe him .
2 of them I am going to replace immediately because I don't like the way they look.
Other 6 look real good but as soon as money starts rolling in they are getting replaced too.
New tires are the cheapest insurance you can have in my book.
The steers are 80 percent. .
Would there be anything wrong with replacing the 2 drives I want to get rid of with the front steers I have ?
Than I would buy some new steers now and than slowly work on replacing the drives.
Thanks for the input.Last edited: Sep 9, 2018

They laid down some new barriers at the end of 31 along with a nice 55 mph sign .
Me and two other milk trucks got nailed by 3 state boys picking us off like ducks in a pool..
68 in a 55. I had the cruise on and was 300 feet into the zone. Just drove through there a week prior.
She Cop wrote it for a 60 in a 55 after I took her for a roll in the hay in my bunk.
She said she was going to let me off Scott free before I did that .
No priors , no outstanding , no warrants . No accidents.
The kicker is I have only had my CDL since December of 17. . Only been driving since March hauling straight bore milk tanks which can be a challenge but I got it .
Been hauling big boats around behind pickups for decades before that.
I got a Head on my shoulders and I can figure out securement better than the average Bear but I am willing to learn.
I have one of my closest friends of 35 years up here in Michigan who has had a 3 man freight brokerage company for 30 years who needs primarily flatbed/step deck work hauled that I could bring to the table.
You think he would still be interested with my lack of CDL time?Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this. -
I personally put 4 drives on at a time. Well actually I do all 8 but have done 4. I don't like 1 wheel turning slower/faster than the other on same rear. I have seen guys do it though. I would run what you have for a month then buy 4 rather than buy 2 now. Helps keep wear even also. Buy 2 now and 2 more in 6 months they will never be the same size.
