Go to your everyday insurance agent where you get your car insurance and have them put temporary liability insurance on it.
Get an intransit permit from the Dept of motor vehicles and put not for hire on the doors and drive it home.
You don’t need any of the fancy trucking insurances to drive it home.

I have been trying to hide the fact that I have been living up in Michigan for the past 2 years from my insurance company in Florida .

Insurance in Michigan is double what I pay in Florida on my car.

You must have some serious high insurance in Michigan.
Florida has some of the highest rates in the country.
I’m in Fl a lot and there’s an accident every 10 seconds because someone has their face buried in their phone and then they rear end someone.
Then there is the two minute delay when the light turns green because all four cars in front of you are again looking at their phone and haven’t noticed the light changed.

We do. We have both no fault and unlimited medical. Combined it's the highest in the nation. The national average is $1,318 / year while MI is $2,394 / year. Btw, FL is $1,840 / year at place 5.
    This is all auto insurance.

Here is my source. Car insurance rates by state: Most and least expensive

You can absolutely put regular liability insurance on a truck and be not for hire and drive the truck home.
This is exactly how I brought my Freightliner home to NY from Texas.
We have an RV club here local and many of them pull their tri axel fifth wheel trailers with road tractors bought all over the United States.
Every one of them was brought home from various states this way with not for hire on the door.
If you wanted you could have the biggest double bunk Pete as your daily driver and be not for hire with out having to require motor carrier insurance.

Put mid matched on front drive keeping them together always run matched on rear drive axle so as to not burn it up

That’s right I’ve done it more than I’d like to admit running steers another $100 k + on front drive axle kept together for even wear ( if not shorter tire will get flat spots from skipping ( bouncing ) along
