I just got my "new" parts manual with exploded diagrams to the engine. I am going to be breaking into this engine for the first time, so I am glad that I have this manual. I believe that I am after part number 14; The leaky O-ring is causing the drip. Part # 14: 8M4447 is a $2.33 part at the Caterpillar dealer. I will also need a new gasket part # 6: 1W1898 ($ ?).
They said it will be 5.5 hours of shop time to change the part at $125.00/hr from the dealer so, I am going to try my hand at it and will try to get some pictures for you all along the way.

I've done it on everything from a two stroke to a Packard twin 6. Haven't personally worked on one of these big diesel ######## (yet), but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work.

Hate to do this cause i might burst your bubble. Are you sure you have a peec engine? The easiest way to tell if its a true b model or a peec is the fuel control. A peec uses an electronic control, wires going from the fuel pedal to the fuel pump. A b model is a steel rod from pedal to pump.
The rest of the engine is the same. Only the fuel side is different so even if that parts manual isn't exactly for your engine, it will come in handy. -
