Did indeed. Lots of cooking. Wish the rest of the family were closer but that's not possible this year.
The dogs thought it was heaven of course.

It's not what's in the bottle,
It's the hope to be found at the bottom.

Ate 3 1/2 days worth of food tonight.
    I'm gonna bust.
    Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Yup. 100% accurate. My daughters tried raising goats as 4H projects. Unless we kept them locked in the barn...which was a no-go because the horses hated them... they went where they wanted to go. Which was everywhere, mostly into the neighbor's gardens and flower beds.
I keep good fences but we finally gave up. My kids switched over to raising cows. I had a quiet little meeting with my neighbors and when the goats trespassed on their property they could shoot them if they wanted to. They could keep them, too. They just couldn't bring them back.

    I had a goat when I was about 7 or 8.
Darned thing could jump up on a fence post right next to it,
and hit it with all 4 hooves, unbelievable - unless you see it.
My Dad had a Studebaker convertible, he got rid of it quick,
cause he was afraid the goat would jump on top, then eat it.

(Did I mention I hate Winter?)
