True. The Goat is awful feisty. I always watch my mouth as far as avoiding verbal battles but they denied me the $120 I would have been paid for mechanical delays because of this.
$120 is a lot of money to a lowly jbhunt lackey.

If they are taping everything said inside the building that would have been the last time I was inside the building.

I hope it's all nothing, remember, 90% of worries - never happen.

It is hard sometimes, I have "verbal diarrhea," too, sometimes.
Best to just zip it with professional relationships, just yes and no.
They don't need to know what you are thinking.
(They would be terrified if they did.)

I worked with a Vietnamese guy for years, a real suck-up,
he was so, so nice, then found out he was a "behind the back"
shi* talker, to make himself look good. End of it. Yes. No.
Play nice time is over, you're a rat.

Supposed to meet with my manager his helper and their boss and listen to this recording. Unless I was talking over the helper and missed it, the recording should reveal that he did not offer me a loaner for the day.

I'm angry either way. If helper were offering loaner and I missed it he could have repeated offer. If manager denied my breakdown pay he could have sent me a message instead of waiting for me to discover it and have to call to ask why.

It's not just that my first good manager quit and I got stuck with Heckle and Jeckle, there seems to have been a real shift in atmosphere in our office. It has become adversarial between drivers and managers. Coincidentally they no longer leave the doors unlocked they started requiring us to use our code to get into the office. Guess they are expecting to tick us off.

Either that or they’re anticipating another Katy incident!

Nowadays it doesn’t take much to piss people off and have them go on a rampage.
You would think some of these companies would learn something from that!

Can it possibly be that a dispatcher fibbed? Perish the thought. I ended up talking only to the managers manager about this loaner truck business and when I told him I was sure the recorded conversation would verify my version of events, he blushed and stammered and said he had never actually had to retrieve one. Then said he would look at it and let me know. Yeah...right. 20 minutes later I got the following on the OBC
