completed training at ait...showed up for orientation at werner today.
i have elevated bp ...mostly around doctors...dr wanted to recertify me at a lesser dot med card...i chose to quit and talk to a real dr...
it seems my bp was good enough to pay 6000.00 for school ...but not good for an actual job.
at this point i don;t know if i want to drive anymore.
any advise would be great.

Been getting a new card yearly for elevated BP for the past 3 years, no biggie.
-
and everyones BP rises a bit around doctors..they should have made you sit there for a while and settle down.....
and if you got to go on meds, so what....????
well, best of luck to you, they probably will not take you back, and you STILL OWE all the money........ -
Man up. The only thing they want to do is check your blood pressure more often. BFD. You will probably have to go on medication to lower it. Go back there and take the job f they will take you. I went through the same thing. -
Wow. If you give up that easily over something so insignificant this is not the career for you. Yes, I said career. That is what this is, a career choice, as well as a lifestyle choice.
rocknroll nik Thanks this. -

You paid $6000 for schooling, than went to a job interview, your bp went up because of nerviousness & they wanted to check your bp again. So you told them to take the job & shove it. Than you come on here to whine. All i can say is COWBOY UP.
rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
if it ain't so, i don't want it or i can't handle it..
"man up" is NOT an option for those who are still attached to mommy's apron strings, thinking all will be better when mommy or daddy "take care of the big bad man"..
if someone does not have the "common sense" (and it seems to apply here) to follow through on such a minor set back, how in God's name will same person deal with the New Jersey, New York, Port of Miami, Chicago, L.A. loading docks and those people who tell him to "wait in line, you ain't next"....will one run back to the Qualcomm and cry a river of tears to dispatch...???
too many wannabe's think that trucking is for them, well i hope its safe to surmise, that this particular wannabe goes back to whence he came from......maybe mommy can protect him better...
wussies.....#### wussies......the whimpering of America's new work force.....no wonder the terrorists are winning.......and they will continue to win over the whimpering...... -
Let me get this right? Having to pay $40 every year instead of every two years is a valid excuse to throw away $6000 and a career?
Instead of holding your breathe and turning blue, try taking Lisinopril. After all, the doc is just doing his job.
A time out is in order. About 40 years, lol.
