Had front wheel seal on drivers side replaced and brake was saturated in oil, they cleaned it up and I am starting to get oil in the drum again and I don't think the seal is leaking it may be the oil that saturated the brake lining on the shoe leaking. The brakes have 50,000 mi. on them my question is can I change just the drivers side brakes or do i have to replace both? Thanks!!

You can change one side if you want to .

Myself I would do both sides but I am the kind that likes to do brakes and tires in sets !

    Bill43452 Thanks this.

brakes i do in sets. haven't had the truck long enough to see how the tires work out. as far as constantly replacing.

if your getting grease on the brakes again. the seal got messed up when they put it back together. so it's leaking again. all it takes is a can of brake cleaner to clean up the brakes. brakes don't leak oil. seals do.
