07-379Pete thats how some of the self adjusters will adjust. Most companies won't let their company drivers work on the brakes. With some of the yahoo's out there I can see why.

My own experience in driving and DOT's is that sometimes it depends on which company you work for the dot have a few bad experiences with certain company drivers and they always will put them in for an inspection . Either that or some driver gives the DOT a bad time so the figure well we'll just take it out on all of them so maybe us drivers ought to learn to be polite to the DOT remember there the ones with the gun so if they say jump i'll say how high sir. As a result i've never ever had a bad run with the DOT in fact 1 time i was more than 1200" over on the drive in Indiania the DOT let me off let me reajust the the weights and reweighed it no problem all because i was calm and polite oh and had a nice accent heh heh.

6 pack your trailer brakes every time you hook up to the trailer. pull your trailer brakes fully 6 times. this usually adjusts the brakes on its own.
