    how did it happen?

had you taken it to the dealership for repairs and they mucked up? or was it a continual problem, they could not find?

    how bad was the fire?

won't the insurance (or has) the insurance paid the claim?

is the insurance denying the claim?

did you work on it in some way, like adding lights, an inverter or anything else, that caused the fire, and you caused it?

what make, model, year was (or is) the truck?

Interested to know if this was caused by the emissions garbage or something else.

Purchased new Freightliner glider 4 1/2 months later parked the weekend after being out a week came back to Truck two days later for dispatch open the door of cab complete inside of the truck was melted. Called insurance made claim they didn’t want to total truck so they just ended paying for a complete new cab replacement because nothing on the outside caught fire so months and months an months went by no rental truck or nothing waiting for the cab and the cause of the fire Freightliner couldn’t touch the truck unless insurance fire investigator or the engineer from Diamler was around. so long story short Truck was in the shop 23 months cause of the fire crimped wire behind the control panel in the sleeper installed by manufacture. During the time Truck was down still made truck and insurance payments on time. So now Diamler wants to pay my insurance company back and give me my deductible but wants me to sign a form stating the case is closed afterwards. I didn’t sign anything I asked what about loss of use downtime an warranty no response. Currently I do have the truck back and is driving it.

I don't buy that crimped wire b.s. at all.

Any circuit in a truck is fused. If it shorts to ground fuse blows no big deal.
Now ive seen truck burn up from main battery cables rub thru on frame because these are not fused. But any other circuit has fail safes.
Something don't smell right and it's not your burnt truck.
