I left a mega before my repayment period was up, ( i drove for them 8 months) and I'm on the hook for the balance.

But, I got another driving job almost immediately.

Slow and down and just because it's snowing a little bit doesn't mean you have to stop. I'm getting to the point I almost like driving in a little snow there's less traffic, I may need a psychological evaluation done for that one right?

I started off with CRST in 09. I was under a 10 month contract. I honored the contract but I heard from a friend that didn't and he had to pay out $6000 for the training. I then went over to swift for 2 1/2 months. I worked for 8 different companies in a 5 year period. All of them in my opinion bad companies except for the 8th company..Ruan. I didn't have a problem getting a trucking job...They are or were hurting for drivers back then during the recession. I doubt if you will have any problem finding another trucking company unless they put a bad mark on your DAC report.Local companies don't usually go by DAC. I have now been with 2 companies in the last 6 years.....Bottom line?. If you keep your MVR, DAC and your CSA clean. You won't have a problem

Winter driving consists of driving slow enough not to be a problem.

What I do is get out and walk on that ice. If it's wet, glare or otherwise super slippery and the feet goes right out from under me, I'll stay under my pile of blankets for the day.

Now if it's literally crunchy ice, dried out slushee or sun is out making everything drip all over the place everywhere dripping. With hardly any slipping and sliding with boots, it's time for you to get going.

Take it slow in moderation. It's no shame to be gently moving along at 20 with interlock in and stable than it is to be a idiot mega line no one has heard of running the wild man on ice.

In our car we can handle any ice, any thickness at no more than 28. But depending on the idiots we would slow to 20.

Slow and steady does it, you will get there. Every bridge you cross has a slope in it wheresoever. Do not let 4 wheeler get between your rig, and the down slope towards a guard rail. You will find that trailer moving gently.

There will be some small number of drivers of whatever vehicles bunched with you doing what you are doing however far you are going to day. You are showing these people by your own leadership, display of careful skill and being a steady eddie to calm some of these people enough to have a GREAT day without trouble, drama etc.

If they were to not hold there word then I wouldn't be mad at all. I'm in it for the experience. It's a flatbed company and I like it very much. The hhea from the sun drain me little from moving fast when tarping a load lol. I mostly in it for the experience. So it like a trade. I make them rich while I gain the experience to be rich later on in life.

Well, if you “like it very much” (your own words), why would you even consider breaking the contract, and all the aggravation that goes along with that? Unless we’re talking about that contract you made with yourself? I dunno. This is confusing

If you don't stand by your words, then what you do you really have? You made a commitment so you should honor it. I don't think you would be ok if they broke their end of the deal. Man up and stand by your words. The world is full of adult children. Don't be a loser.

They will put a negative mark on your DAC and your credit after suing you for the training expenses. Lots of companies use both of the aforementioned databases to make hiring decisions.
