    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on what the best company or best way I can break into Flatbedding. I have a sort of awkward situation here. I have minimal experience with Millis where I went to school and drove with a trainer for several weeks but had to quit for family reasons and did not get my CDL. I just took the tests again and have my permit. I planned on taking a refresher course at the community college ivy tech (SAGE) and completing my CDL.

My question is, do I have any options to get into flatbed trucking w/o having to go back through another mill? Two companies I've always been interested in are Maverick and TMC. Heard good things about them both and heard bad things about them both... that's the industry though. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Those are the top 2 flatbed companies...

To my knowledge Maverick is only hiring experienced drivers (not necessarily experienced flatbedders...just driving experience).

Give them a call and see what they say...you wont find better flatbed training anywhere.
