Bridge Over Troubled Water

This is why I put my life vest on before I cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge:

I can think of 3 other bridges that cause me concern every time I cross them:

1- The I-95 bridge in Maryland crossing over the Susquehanna.

2- US-93 over the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, ID.

3- US-19 over the New River Gourge in West Virginia.

A life jacket probably wouldn't help you in the last two. You would need to be encased in a rubber foam capsule to survive those.

 

i been over that bridge twice in my career.

can't say i looked forward to the second time, after i went the first time.

 

Didn’t a driver lose his life on that bridge a few years back? He made it out of the cab but eventually succumbed to the freezing water if I remember correctly.

Hate hearing about accidents like this..Can’t imagine what they went through fighting for their life.

 

That's why I drive in the middle lane there

 

I got stuck in backup on the bridge 20+ years ago. Because of a jumper... Stopped got out and jumped over side. We did not have Uber in those days

 

Which one?
