Broke Down 69...The Adventure Continues

Wind is up but I'm going to roll until I can't. Maybe I'm crazy but I want to get this lap over with and setting today just doesn't figure into that plan.

Well not so fast now. Until I walked in for coffee the wind was blowing a steady 30 or so. Got back a started my pre trip and here came the gusts...big ones. Setting in the cab now and it feels a bit like a ship at sea...lots of side to side rocking. If it was an East or West wind it wouldn't be a bother, but naturally it's a Southern flow so it's going to be broadside all the way. NOAA says it should slack around 1400 so maybe I'll let common sense take over and just be a little patient...common sense and patience are not phrases often used to describe me. I tend to lean towards crazy and impulsive.

So Bill Saint James is doing 1977 on the Time Warp this morning. Already played my all time favorite song...Southern Cross...any sailor will appreciate the story in that song, right @Chinatown . For those that don't know the Southern Cross is a group of stars used for navigation in the Southern Hemisphere. Great song, great band.

'77 was a hell of a good musical year...plus the vintage commercials and TV and movie trailers bring me back to my youth.

Just walked in for a refill on my coffee and man is it howling out there. Driver just pulled in beside me and said he had seen 2 blow overs in the last 10 miles and decided it was time to stop. There's a van parked a ways over on my right and it's rocking around like there's an earthquake happening.
