Are those steel coils? Maybe it's just my old eyes but i swear it looks like rubber conveyor belting.

Looks like steel fabric of some sort. The type of material used for reinforcing concrete. The 2X6 marking is the size.

Oxbow and Broke Down 69 Thank this.

That's what it was. Used to call it pig plate in my concrete working days. Boy I sure don't miss that work. Started out with the rod busters making caison sleeves out of rebar and worked my way up to the concrete crews. Not much of a promotion. One of my first runs with my company now had me delivering 6 of those coils to a project just outside Atlanta where I ran into an old crew mate of mine who was the superintendent on the job. Boy did we have some laughs remembering out youthful days of labor.

Well, I bugged out. Since my last run out here I had been wondering if I could do this whole lap without a reset. Now I don't mean gaming the clock and driving 8.5 hours a.day, I meant running hard and burning out my hours. I figured out that I would need two short days in the loop to do it and Craigsville and Klamath each provide one, the load time and location of each, combined with the big distance gap for parking, made me think that maybe I could pull it off. Today I got back a little over 9 hours and I get a little more than 21 in the next two days. My unload is tomorrow at 1300 and my reload isn't until Wednesday at 0600. I'm about 5 hours away from Klamath now in Hines, so by my figuring I should have around 17 hours when I leave and will be gaining back 32 hours in the next three days. That'll get me through Minnesota and Wisconsin where I will have to see where I stand hours wise then. I did 3980 miles this week and still had 4 hours on my 70 when I stopped in Little America.

Guess I always need to be challenging myself.

Hope y'all had a good day.

I like your plan to run on recaps. I do it whenever possible to keep revenue going. After a couple of weeks I can earn some good R&R at home.

Hours are hours. The only thing between us and home is miles. Use what you got, earn all you can as quick as you can, then go enjoy it a little. That's my thinking on it.

Airborne, Oxbow and Lepton1 Thank this.

at times it was not uncommon to only run recap hours for a few weeks at a time. when you get a good loop set up, take advantage of it.

It's going to be interesting to see if I can pull this off. If I can it's going to really ramp up my yearly earnings. Not everyone may want to run like this but it doest phase me a bit, I just see dollar signs and money stacking up to buy my own truck down the road.
