Well, I'm here. Made it about 13 hours early...maybe I can parlay that into a bonus, got plenty of time to think about how to work that deal out. Weather is a little funky so my plan to unstrap and untarp today is out, no sweat really, takes all of 20-25 minutes to do.
Kinda been a little down today, missing home isn't usually a problem for me but today I have been. I think the slack pace of this leg has left me with too much time just sitting alone with my thoughts as opposed to running myself into a deep sleep every night. But hey, I'll be putting my home load on tomorrow and with a little luck I'll be home Wednesday night...but even if it drags out to Thursday I'm still sliding down hill.
Hope y'all had a good day.

Good load to tarp, crappy weather to tarp in. Chilly rain and a little breeze makes for a unfun time. Dispatch is playing games with me, sending me to Chatham, VA instead of right back to Old Fort, NC. Let him know I'd be out of time by the time I actually made it back to Hickory, which I'm sure kinked up his plan to turn me into a shuttle driver for a couple days after I'd been out almost four weeks. I control how my clock runs and I guarantee you that I will be down to about 4 hours when I get to Chatham, and I dang sure ain't doing a reset to do a bunch of bunny hopping around. I'm going home to see my kids.
Hope y'all had a nice dry day...Airborne, passingthru69, Big Don and 4 others Thank this. -
☀ & 73 for me. Spring has sprung on the west coast, especially California.
Parked for the night up on the grapevine, natural a.c. blowing in from the outside breeze, doesn't get better than this in trucking.
I had a tail wind all the way and my mpg was most excellent.
Just finished eating my onboard dinner, got the HD tv going, getting ready for the men's college championship game to start. Bummer the Ducks fell just short.Lepton1, Broke Down 69 and Shock Therapy Thank this. -

Waddy, KY at the end of a 684 mile day. Not much of a payoff...lol. 455 from Chatham and the 185 back to the yard and a break from the grind. Weather is looking really good so I expect I'll spend a lot of time out in the yard getting it whipped into shape for coming season. Funny how I hated doing that in my younger days but now it's one of my favorite things to do. Not much else to say today, it was pretty dull and routine.
Hope y'all had a safe day.Airborne, Scooter Jones and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
