This was fresh, tasted real good too. Some did go into the freezer for later.
Almost all of the stuff they have is fresh. A few things are frozen like the crab cakes and some stuff like that.

Well, I finally made it home about 2300 last night. The simple log load turned into a reload at the CFP plant in Old Fort where I dropped the logs. no big deal, right? Well I waited around for 5 hours for them to get it ready, helped 4 drivers tarp their loads and when they finally got mine on I was the last man there and of course the winds jumped up to 30+ mph. Finally got the tarps semi secured and here comes the loader who tells me he forgot a single tie in and I needed to untarp so he could add it on. I went a little nuts on him...not really, I went full scale nuclear and told him if he wanted it untarped that it was up to him. I had waited around on them all day and I was done. We eventually reached a compromise that involved him getting three other guys to come and help me keep the tarp more or less in place while he added in the missed tie in. resecured the tarps and two straps I had to pop and beat feet for the yard.

So, as many if not most of you already know...but for the education of those that don't...when your dispatcher says to you "I need you to help me out a little" what they are actually saying is "Bend over and grab your ankles."

Oh well, off until Wednesday...I'll recover from it.

Guess that's the difference between company drivers and owner operators. When i hear a customer say that i know they have opened up the check book.

True, I have been able to work things in my favor before when I have gotten that call. My response is ok what is it and how much money do you have.

Broken Down 69er is in Jedi training mode right now. These are valuable lessons and will help to serve towards his success as a future owner operator.
