"Broke Down 69, you must learn to FEEL what the dispatcher is telling you and not to interpret literally what he is actually saying to you."

Quiet Saturday morning for me here the beautiful PNW. It's when those deep thoughts bubble forth from my inner most being ;-)

I hear ya man. Quiet days are when the voices in my head get pretty active also.

Ok, I have lived with them a long time. We have had many a good time. A few less than stellar moments, and an occasional really bad choice. We have come to undersandings and terms. I think we learned from the early days and the very intense arguments that it really was in our best interest that things should be of mutual benefit. Seems to be working for the most part. The thing is now, as I am a lot older, I find that the arguments are reversed. I get a hair brained idea and its the voices that are telling me that it may not be a good idea, reminding me that with age comes bones that break a bit easier and take a bit longer to heal. Occasionally I dont like them, and tell them so. I really despise when thay get into a snit after one of "those" conversations. I think, really, we are supposed to be adults here. A few days and everything is back to as normal as it can be.

Oh man, I hope he never learns to FEEL what they really mean! We don't need another nut case with a gun, in the office....:p

Oh I've learned the hard way to listen to those little voices. Particularly the ones that pipe up and say, "uh-no, not a good idea." OF course, sometimes I'm bull headed. Usually pay for it....

Are you talking about dispatch or the occupant of the Oval Office?

    Broke Down 69 Thanks this.

Dispatchers be like "I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further."

These all started my day with a chuckle. Going to ride up to Greensboro in a bit to put my eyes on a '97 379 with a big Cat and an 18 speed double over. So far the only thing I'm not real keen on is it's got 3.90 rears, but that 18do should help out on the rpms and milage. Has a real nice headache rack full of chains and such that goes with the truck and the tires have lots of life left on them. Interior looks really clean in the pics and it has a new Bose seat. Fingers crossed.

Big Don, cke, Oxbow and 5 others Thank this.

It may not be a true double over. An RTLO16913A has two "overdrive" gears, but has the normal 13 speed shift pattern. A true 13 double over has an aux box and 13th will be touching the dash, with a .62 ratio.
Yes I know you said 18. I don't know if they made a true 18 double over. Most were 13 double overs. Anyways not busting your chops, good luck with the truck.
