I'm not a big rigger like you guys, I drive daycabs every day and I actually like our Volvos the best. I "fit" in the thing pretty well and it seems to drive nice and straight down the road, no sloppy wandering all over. Maybe it's just me, I don't know. We also have Macks and Pro Stars, the Internationals are brand new and I'd still take my 7 year old Volvo.... personal preference, I guess. But, as I said before, I don't "live" in a truck.

So it's a year old. Let's see how the comparison to that glider looks in 5 to 7 years once that emissions system has had some time to show its true colors.

 

Did they actually work with you on the time, or insist you wait the two hours? What little dealing I had with Costco always pissed me off. Always at least until I lost it and blew my stack at this one jerk off. He never gave me any problem after that.

Have a friend that purchased a 2015 Volvo 730, new.
Was spec'd for a flatbed, has aluminum parts all over it.
got all the chrome and top of the line interior. shore power and a diesel fired APU. It is a very nice truck.
has the X-13 package, so D13 and 12 speed auto.
getting just shy of 9 MPG. He is a fanatic about maintenance. So far, not one problem out of it.
Last time I asked him on the miles, was pushing 250k

 

No, Costco receiving are not very flexible. I just parked on their lot and took a nap, I needed it anyways after a long Easter day.

 

Got a heck of price on it too. Was a customer order that fell apart. Seems the truck was being built and about to deliver when something hit a running fan.
