I bought a Garmin Dezl 770 on Amazon about a year and a half ago. It was "refurbished". I paid less than $300 for it. It's been dependable. Company I was with before invested heavily in Rand/ELOG/GPS units. They had a lot of problems with them.

For years I only carried 8 foot drops. Long ones too, 28 feet, not your usual 24 footers. Flap ends.

They did have D rings along the top seam.

A good place for flat bed equipment, like tarps and straps is Tri-city canvas in Granite City, IL.
The will fix or make just about anything. So if you want to add D rings or ? they can do it. most of the time, while you wait.

I've had two dezl units, one was stolen. Does yours try to route you off of i5 around Medford/Phoenix? Both of mine have listed weight restrictions there.

No need to post in this thread... user already destroyed their unit so no support is needed...

Interesting. I figured my maps needed updating, but I never got around to it. Got the second unit and it does the same thing. Guess it might have really old maps too, I really need to remember to update it when I'm at home.

Yep. Two .45 slugs. Found at least one thing that POS was good for...target practice.

I've had GPS units that have done similar things to me as well.

Two? That unit is more indestructible than I would imagine.
