I really don't like Home Depot. Get there and have to do a blindside, off angle 45 to untarp in an area not large enough to fold a towel in...asphalt lot 92 degrees and a 30 plus mph wind. Tough deal. Finally get pulled in and then set for an hour and a half before they even started unloading me. Took nearly 3 hours to get out of there. Supposed to grab a load in Nacodoches headed home tomorrow morning. Be nice to get back and relax for a few days.

Dang, man. Well, at least you're on your way home soon.

My day was tough. Checked in at receiver at 0625 for my 0630 got my door and docked, I was worn out from opening those van doors, somehow I survived though. Checked out 45 minutes later.

Drove 9 miles to the next shipper, 10 docks and I was the only guy there. There were literally 3 forklift drivers sitting there waiting for something to do. Docked and drove away from there 21 minutes later LOL.

I spent the last two days babysitting the packers, and woke up to "Truck stopped near Odessa to regen last night, and ended up having to get towed. Will tomorrow work for you?"

Because obviously I enjoy spending my Saturday sitting at home watching my stuff get loaded on a truck...

I manage. Darn thing is my shoulder is aching now from having to push the R & D buttons on my dash more than I'm used to in one day ;-)

Delivered midnight at food distribution center, wasn't too bad. Made the easy drive over to Portland and parked at the shipper. Nice and quiet where I was able to get some good REM level sleep in before my 0800 dock this morning.

Hopefully you get some good home time.

Yeah, hopefully. Unfortunately, it will be delayed. Somehow, mysteriously, my load out of Nacodoches disappeared from the broker. Had an idea something was up yesterday when he said he didn't recognize the load and didn't call me back like he said he would and quit answering his phone. So I'm in Canton, Texas at the Dukes truck stop waiting on a load out. Got a bad feeling I'm going to get stuck here over the weekend.

Let me guess, they gave you a replacement load going to Alabama that doesn't deliver until Monday? ;-)

I am not sure, but I think Dukes and Texas Best Smokehouse must be the same company. They sure do have a lot in common. The food is very good most of the time. Have always been able to get parking too.

But, they have the best 98 cent 2X4 studs that I can cut up for my jack stands when I work on my Stude pickup!
