    I was gonna make fun of you for being a squid, but two stopped me:

    1. You were a corpsman. Infantry has undying respect for Doc regardless of branch.

    2. You had to carry an endless supply of crayons for those marines.

    And we.had an almost paternal feeling for our guys. You knew they would lay themselves down for you in an instant without thought or regret, and in turn id have gone through Hell on Easter Sunday to get to them. Perhaps one day in the future old men will no longer send young men to kill and die for their failures as leaders.

    At home running myself silly. Kids this, parents that, ex wife the other. Just one hell of a day. Maybe tomorrow will slack off some and I can catch a little rest. Race.crowd is in town and getting completely soaked by rain that's been with me.since Texas. Two.more.daya of slop and then it's supposed to get nice.
