Not many wide loads fit in a van.

Certainly a goal worth hoping and praying for. But you and I will never live to see it.:(

And maybe one day in the future the young men and women will stand and say no to the old men.

Man, things flipped on a dime for me this week. My L.A. Wednesday pick up to WA canceled. So, instead of going back down I decided to cancel the southbound load I was going to load after my delivery to Ashland. Then things started popping.

A broker needed to cover a water load from Weed to Ellensburg, WA. I "helped" him out at $3.50 a mile ;-). Mind you, I had to run to get it there, but I made him look good this morning.

Had to break afterwards at 0830 and let my clock catch up with a fresh 14 and am loading in Kent tonight for a Wilsonville delivery early delivery.

Reload Eugene for a Kent delivery Thursday morning, after which I will deadhead back to Woodburn for a Federal Way 4 dropper. Believe me, when the broker offered me $4.00 all miles, I didn't hesitate ;-)

Reload Puyallup Friday after afternoon for a Saturday 0600 delivery in my hometown! Then I'm off til Tueday.

See, I told you things were popping, including the old revenue account:)

That is why schools should teach the kids who Hitler and Stalin were.
Why the Japanese Imperial Army were such bad people in WWII.
Today i visited a small museum about the Bataan Death March.
Things like that should not be forgotten.

It scares and makes me sad when the young people don't know who the biggest killers off the last 100y are.

At dealership having my pickup worked on. Slight miss in the engine has turned into a $1600 wallet punch. Looking at a Camaro setting right outside and thinking that it might be time to trade...

I am a huge GM guy and a big fan of the LS series of motors. Unfortunately that body style never did it for me. I am however in love with the newest rendition of the Mustang, but I can't bring my self to do it. So I am awaiting for used SS's to start hitting the market to replace my GTO. Or I will just hold out to I can afford the perfect Vette.
