Broke Down 69...The Adventure Continues

That's what I figured, I worked LTL for 17 months as a city driver. I always ran what the called a "heavy peddle" 17+ deliveries and as many pickups and always got it done. They tracked our productivity (not that it mattered because they didn't do anything with it) and I was always at the top of the list. It was easy work but I found it boring as heck. Even the tight areas we went they would complain about with a short single axle tractor and a 48' trailer with the tandems slid forward. That was a good job (for some not me) and they had some darn good drivers but man did they have some bad ones. It seemed to to me the ones who went through their driver "apprentice" program were the worst.

 

Someone on this site FINALLY recognizes my gayness!..

My wife of 39 years, 5 kids and 10 grandkids know how gay I am. Always joking around, life of the party kind of gay I am, you know what I mean?

Some where a computer is reading these postings, it has no rational mind, or sense of humor. It is a bunch of hardware running a software program. It does not get the jokes. It has a list of words, the more words from the list, the higher the score, the higher the score, the more likely it gets sent to an actual human that then basically works a similar process to determine if it needs to be escalated to a second human that has a bit higher level of decision making ability. This process happens multiple times until the some one decides to look at more of the postings by the particular author. only to decide your not a high security problem. Still, during all this, no one but a hand full of people at the very begining when the post was made, got the joke.

 

These forum discussions often turn out just like this.

This video is an actual discussion between 2 chatbots. Sort of like two truckers trying to communicate with each other on TTR.

Back in another life, I was employed by a very high tech company. Some of the people I worked with had been hired and given the task of building a system to beat Deep Blue. During my time the best they did was draws on 5 games. Lost the rest, but 5 draws is not bad.

 

The diversity of past lives is a huge part of what makes this place so interesting.

Here's a small sample of what I used to do for a living before the housing market took a dump in 2008 (think mortgage derivatives) & 2009. Seems like a life lived so long ago. I'm going into my 9th year now in the trucking industry.
