The hillside lot home was like something out of a Better Homes & Garden magazine. It was 3,600 sq feet with a beautiful view of the N. Umpqua River from the front west side. My wife & I were only in it for a few months when a couple from California stopped by and dangled an offer I couldn't refuse.

Those are some really nice houses, and as long as the offer you couldnt refuse didn't come in the middle of.the night in the form of a severed horse's head, you made a.good decision...considering the #### storm that was just down the road.

Today is BD's big day! He now gets a chance to be on the receiving end of what a frustrated driver can dish out on the road when things aren't lining up just right:)

You guys are a bunch of effing comiediens today.

So it started out a little rough first thing this morning. One of my loads mysteriously disappeared overnight leaving me to scramble up a load. Driver was just outside Baltimore so I snatched up a load out of the port heading to Alloy, WV, where I can spin him over to Craigsville. Other than that it was a very uneventful day as all my trucks were already under a load. I've pretty well got loads in place for all but one of them, he's just a little far out to try and get him set up right now. I did call each of them to let them know that the trucking gods had dealt them the crappy fate of having an injured driver, with zero dispatching experience, in charge of keeping them loaded and moving. To a man, they said it couldn't be any worse than it had been, which is sort of damning me with faint praise, but I'll do my best.

    More later...
