Good news, medically at least. Thought I'd hear something yesterday afternoon but I just got back home from a consult and the Doc was amazed at the healing. Looks like I'm going to avoid surgery and begin light rehab next week. Still have the boot but probably will be completely free of it in another two weeks. God I'll be glad to be rid of that hot box.

As far as work goes, that's a whole other story for another time. Right now I'm going to eat bbq and watch ESPN. Guy stuff.

    More later...

Don't get in an all fired hurry to get that boot off. When it feels okay to take it off, wait a few days or a week longer.

I got a stress fracture in one of the smallest bones under the big toe. Wore a boot for about three weeks. Felt fine, so I took it off. Big mistake. That caused an ongoing, lingering bout of pain and inconvenience that went for months.

I spent too much time in the infantry to worry about that. Which is why when we stopped for fuel, dry shoes and socks went on...

Hopefully my boots are dry in the a.m.

Dry clothes and boots should have gone on the moment you got back in the cab. You might get away with that in June, but come october that's just asking to be out a week with the flu.

Ain't it great fun to get older?:biggrin_2552:

Did it clear up by itself, or did you have to get surgery on it?
