Made a delivery the other day. A yard full of idiots. you could see even the office man was having a hard time dealing with them. Me being me ask one of the guys " does everybody here have smart phones"? He said yes. I said " well artificial intelligence is better then none". turned and walked away.

So, you're saying you were only able to get in 350 miles that day because of the crappy automatic in the truck? ;-)

Must not of been an I-Shift :)

Nice and quiet here on the home front. Feels good to be home, get some rest, spend some time with the family, get caught up on all my paperwork etc.

Heading back down to LA LA Land on Wednesday. Capacity loosened up here in the NW. More trucks than loads evidently, so, I'll just transition on the fly with my I-Shift and do the L.A. loop for a bit.

Sorry for the absence, been spending the last several days at the hospital with my Mother. She fought hard, the Doctors worked hard but at 2330 last night she passed away, peacefully, in her sleep. I'm fortunate to have been allowed the time to prepare myself for this but I'm still stunned at the depth of sadness and loss I'm feeling right now. This will pass, I know, but for the moment it is hard.

    More later...

I too lost my mother several years ago. The one who bore, nursed, cuddled, bandaged and loved me unconditionally until the very end of her life.

It's your mother for God's sake. How could you not be stunned and sorrowful.

I feel your pain and am sorry for your loss.

The physical may no longer be with you, the memories of a lifetime are alive and with you always.

I understand, been there. Remeber to stop for a moment, take a break and breathe.

Sure you will have a lot of things to do over the next few weeks. Take it one step at a time, no rush

Sorry for your loss. Even when you have an idea it's coming it is still hard. Our prayers and sympathies go out to you, and may God grant her eternal rest.
