Good to see a little levity back in your life. It's a good sign in tough times.

Want some laughs? Go to Mackey's TTR songs thread. We are assigning "walk in" songs to various TTR guys. Got a little "entertaining" there for a minute or 30, LoL~! ;)

    Here's a little more levity:

Picked up a load of rolled roofing. Trainer let me drive... I dunno... 450 miles before he remembered it was supposed to be tarped. Two tarps thrown out and bungeed down in 15 minutes on the interstate on ramp. All the while, he's cursing and kicking himself. Glad it wasn't the newbie who made that mistake!

BD, you grieve how you need to buddy. Hopefully dealing with probate and your mom's estate will help bring some closure for you. Prayers for your dad, as I know he's lost his whole world.

    Hope you're doing alright, BD69er.

This early morning finds me in San Bernardino loading water for Oregon.

How this makes any sense is beyond me. This same company has a plant 150 miles away from where I'm going with this load.

Had to flip my clock to make this work, at $3.00 a mile, it was no problem ;-)

Got me a nice room at BW yesterday after I delivered. They even let me ck in at 1100, which was pretty cool.

Ordered in chicken Alfredo and a small pizza. Finished off with a little green sleep aid and I was in LaLa land.

Bet you had a hard time keeping a straight face over this! Kind of nice when there is a screw-up that just cannot be blamed on the rookie.:D

Perhaps the local plant is down for some reason. Or just can't keep up with the demand at this time of year.

Reading your post the trainer made a second mistake. If you drove 450 miles he should have pulled in at the next rest area or truck stop. Working on the side of the highway is never good. Also think about the back up that was created due to drivers slowing down to see what was going on. But I did like your story.
