Well, im.an office drone again. God, how does anyone do this for a living? My guys are all running but our primary customer is having computer problems and it has a big chunk of our trucks just sitting, waiting and wrecking our schedule. Seems an awful lot like s Monday to me.

    More later...

Two solutions to that problem. Easiest and cheapest, is leave the window down like you are doing. The other is to always have a spare key in your immediate possession.

I actually have 3 keys, cause I'm an idiot and sometimes forget to xfer key between britches. Have a 3rd in a magnetic box, stuck way up under a frame rail.

Just throwing this out as food for thought. I can't begin to remember how many dollars I've spent on magnetic key boxes only to find them missing when I needed the key inside. Many years ago, I came across some steel shower curtain hooks in the shop. These work really well for keys. My kids have their spare keys hidden on their vehicles with these as well. Besides, if this comes off, losing the keys is probably the least of your worries.

shower curtain hook.jpg I got my last bag at an Ace hardware store for $6-7.

Well, as quick as I went back inside, I came back out. One of our really good drivers walked in with his keys and quit. Boss had no real option but to send me out with his load other than to do it himself...which I may have suggested to him...so off I went to Connecticut. Not sure about where I'm going next, just know that I'm going to be up here for the weekend. That may sound lime a tough break, but I have a very good friend who lives in Hartford who is taking me in for the weekend so it's really a pretty good deal. He tells me there's some really good live music in town and the ESPN campus is close by and open for tours...what red blooded American man wouldn't want to check that out. I'm looking at it like a company funded weekend vacation.

Not going to be to far from you. Heading to Taunton, MA myself, for a Sunday delivery. Will probably reload with pastries going to the Pittsburg airport, or a stinking fish load going to Pennsauken, NJ.

zip ties can get brittle and crack over time. I use a piece of wire to secure a hidden key.
    magnetic boxes are No Wayneo

Gee, how badly did you have to screw this guy while you were dispatching, to get him to quit, so that you wouldn't have to dispatch?;)
On a serious note here though, it would seem to me that if you are able to get behind a wheel now and then, it would almost make an office job bearable. Particularly if the money is right.
