Well, my girl had to get up and leave early this morning. I've got a 3 hour drive to my drop and don't have to be there until 1600, so I have a little bit of time on my hands. I sure like getting to see her, but when the time's up it's worse than opening the last Christmas present...lol. Guess I'll go get a little breakfast.

    More later...

Two hours.after I got here they've finally started unloading me...good thing I can't reload until tomorrow morning. Then I head for Omaha and whatever comes next...California most likely, we still have a good number of those loads I am told. Put in for Chistmas today but I have to say that it doesn't hold a lot of interest for me this year, my Mother was the driving force in the family on holidays and without her it just seems empty...I suppose I'll just have to work through that.

I was loading a coil yesterday and a dump trailer pulled into the building to get loaded/ unloaded no today when I delivered my coil a dump trailer was behind me. And when I was leaving two more were pulling in. The unloader told me they were hauling the same coils. Have any of you fellas seen this before, and how do you think they secure them. I'm thinking the boss is keeping his dump trailers running by hauling coils.

Yes I've seen it before. There were 4 d rings welded to the floor. It was north east of ft Wayne Indiana. Also saw some in southern Illinois. They were all loaded shotgun. Just set right on the floor. Must say I never saw any chains or straps around any of these vehicles.

I had a trailer that had plugs in the floor. You pulled the plugs up and the chains were welded to special cross members you used chains and binders to lock them down.

No California, Madison, Wisconsin instead. Not a bad run but I don't load until around noon so I get to sleep late tomorrow. Pizza just got here.

If I run into one of those fellas again I will ask to see how they have it set up. I Know they need coil racks. And I'm sure they can only be loaded/unloaded by a crane.
