    Hesperia, California. God, I hate this place with a white hot passion. At least there's a decent resturant here. Big meal and about 18 hours to kill. Kind of a.pretty waitress.here so maybe it won't be a total wash. A Southern accent may be the best girl magnet ever. Of course once the accent draws them in, you have to know what to do from there...lol.

    That place was a trip. Had to back in off the street and blindside between a couple construction dumpsters. Earned my pay that day.

    Drove right through the fires today. Before I really got into the smoke it was 85 degrees. Once I was in it the temp rapidly dropped to 73. In Guadeloupe, CA now and have a second pick 8 miles away tomorrow morning, then I'm headed for Chicago.

    Got the most ridiculous fuel plan I've ever seen for this trip. Two fuel stops in California about 40 miles apart. Going to call in tomorrow and see what that's all about. If I have to stop at all in this hell hole for fuel it's only going to be once...I hope.

    I've done multiple fuel stops in one state and I'm an 0/0 and pay for my own fuel. Sometime you do what ya gots do.
