This eld thing must be really bad for day cab drivers! @0200 this morning I was fueling at the pilot on 94 in pure Michigan. A Hogan day cab was in the next fuel lane. He pulled out hitting 3rd gear and stopped at the yellow line. So much stress.

Yeah, this is getting a bit stressful. I pulled into the Petro in Glade Springs, Va yesterday around 1400. Big lot here, I got one of the last spots all the way down at the bottom. Now it's raining so I'm going to get a little wet on the way for coffee.

So I sent a message in to dispatch yesterday letting them know i was in place a day early and itd be just ducky if i could go ahead and unload. Got me a 1600 appointment today. May not get home today, my 70 is in the way, but I'll be there early tomorros...hours sooner than I would have otherwise.

    More later...

Well, I'm unloaded, got a pizza ordered, going to eat and rack out and boogie for home come 0500. This has been one hell of a year and I'm not sure I could take another like it. I've gained, lost and broke even. With the coming new year everything is going to change, making the jump to O/O and trying to keep learning and running. I hope you guys can look back fondly on this year, but I'd just as soon move on and have a better year next year.

    More later...

Ive followed your thread pretty much from the beginning. Missed a few mo's and got caught up again.

Made me realize that Ive missed trucking so Im getting back into it, this time as just a driver to start and we'll see where it goes from there.

Have fun with the new truck and merry christmas

    Home.

Weird, but I sort of feel like a visitor in my own town. Much has changed in five months. North Carolina's road destruction program has made it to Concord and it took me an hour just to get to the secured lot I drop trailers at and back to my house, a trip that ordinarily takes about 20 minutes.

Arrived to find my aunt and sister cleaning out the attics...well, the truth was they were standing there waiting on me to show up so they could start telling me what to do. That didn't go over so well with me and in short order they left, so now I can try to relax a bit.

    Merry Christmas to you all.

I would just like to say thank you for driving past the house. I can throw snowballs and make snow people again. Keep running I-70 so I can break out the igloo brick maker and construct an igloo.
