It turned out fine, had used PC to get to the yard so my clock didn't start anyways.

Turns out where I delivered to didn't open 'til 0900 anyways. I showed up right @ 0900 ;-)

Y'all remember the part a couple days ago when I said that I knew I'd get out of Chicago quick, that the guys here really had it.together...

Yeah, not so much. Been here four hours past my appointment and so far they haven't started. Trucks that got here hours after me have come and gone and here I still set, patiently waiting my turn. Well, not big deal I guess, I've got a reload 90 miles away for a.420 mile run. A days work that's scheduled over two.

    Hopefully something will happen soon.

    More later...

Well, it ended up taking 5.5 hours to get unloaded and I don't want to even begin to get into how much sleep I actually go, but I finally got done and ran into Wisconsin for a run to Iowa where I will reload do go back to Chicago. Didn't really set the world.on fire milage wise today, about 400.but I'm going to be able to unl9ad, drop and hook and get halfway or so on my next lap which doesn't delive until day after tomorrow. Talked with the office today and it.looks like come the 18th I'll be able to.take.over my 660.and start a new chapter in this story.

This broker I've been taking care of on my southbound lane called me last week. Wanted to know if I would be interested in reloading at the same warehouse I deliver to heading back up north 1100 miles.

He gave me what I asked for (killer rate) and here I am. My delivery was at 0600, they unloaded me and are just about done reloading. Doesn't get much better than this ;-)

    Someone pinch me LOL.

At the 80 for the night. Going to Calumet City, between Chicago and Gary which is about like being stuck between a butt hole and a.ball sack, then reload and go right back to Perry, Iowa where they are calling for up to a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow. Perry is way the hell out in the boondocks 40 miles or so back on secondary, two lane roads, I'll tell you this, I ain't going in a ditch for the sake of beef jerky...its a Jack Links plant...so we'll just have to see how it goes.

Snow, ice and wind. That's been my last couple days. Back at the yard in Omaha to pick up a load that delivers Monday morning in Columbus, Ohio. Glad to have a short break, I think I'm trying to catch a cold and I'm going to drink OJ and sleep a bit extra...no time to be under the weather, got big things in the works...lol.

When I start feeling a little ill. I take vitamin C. 2-3000 iu a day. Don't know if it really works or if my mind is tricked to feel better, but it does.

I hammer down OJ and take zinc, and like you, not sure if theres anything to it or I've tricked myself into believing it, I just know I seem to feel better. In the last week I've gone from high 70s to below zero...lucky I ain't dead.

The question is: can you walk and chew gum at the same time? ;-)
