BD, I believe if it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all. Glad you made it some where safe with food, fuel, and showers. Take her easy, and keep it between the ditches.

You talking video of the USC fiasco?Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
Wow, what an afternoon. So much to tell.
OK, the next batch of snow and ice dropped south and the minute ODOT lifted the chain law and opened 84w, pandemonium ensued. Took about 5 minutes to have the first wreck...no surprise that it was Swift. That locked up the interstate again. This didn't stop a slew of drivers from trying to peel out and, predictably, several of them got stuck at the stoplight which sits on a slight grade. OK, now its getting ugly because every westbound truck in the state of Oregon has decided to fuel up here. This is when the Pete and KW got together in front of my truck. With me so far? Takes about 2 hours to clear the stoplight SNAFU and to separate Pete and KW. In this period, those idiots that could, jammed the back of the lot jockeying for positions to get out. Meanwhile, roughly 100 trucks are lining up to get in to fuel. They surge in and immediately a truck gets stuck in every lane...lots of ice you see. Then the final piece of the fiasco fell into place. One of the exiting trucks needed to make a left turn. Refer back to the endless line of trucks across the bridge, on the off ramp and back out on the interstate. Left turn guy decides to try and force his way through and promptly drags his tandems into another truck...did I mention that it was another Swift truck?
So anyhow, I'm still setting here, waiting on this Charlie Foxtrot to get resolved and hopefully leave here before to much longer.Airborne, passingthru69, 2CAN and 7 others Thank this. -
