Stopped for a quick nap...long day.

First in line to unload but it made.little difference, for reasons passing understanding, they decided to unload me outside. Forklift promptly got stuck in the snow and ice. Delay number 1.

Next there was a paperwork problem that took a bit to clear up. Delay number two.

Time to load up...at last. Guy hands me my bol and.as usual I scan it over...weight 51450.

Whoa, man. That's going to throw me a couple thousand pounds over and I only got half tanks right now.

Tells me he's been loading trailers since Moby Dick was a minnow and it'll scale just fine. So Ahab loads her up and I roll the scale...82450. Delay number 3.

Now, I'm a bit tired of all this, been there over 5 hours at this point. Let him know that my truck wasn't leaving the property if that scale was one ounce over 78000. Of course Ahab drags his arse, but finally gets it done.

    Strap, tarp, roll.

Done about 350 and need a little bit of sleep then at it again. Don't have to be in Minnesota until Friday afternoon, plenty of time if Mother Nature will play along.

Wow, must have been more tired than I thought. Slept right through my alarm...never done that before. No matter, I'm about to hammer out a good 650 or more today.

    More later...

You were tired? Yeah, right. You were dreaming about these babes from Saturday's women's march ;-)

End of the day and as will happen sometimes, ambition outweighed achievement. Had to settle for 510 despite running down to my last 30 minutes. Couple of wrecks and seriously screwed up Loves for a fuel stop really held me up so here I set in a rest stop, desperately in need of a shower and a hot meal but it's not meant to be. Cold as hell up here as well, had to kick the truck up on high idle just to keep some heat in it. All is not terrible though, I am still on track to make the delivery by Thursday afternoon, knock on wood, and maybe I'll get a quick load back to NC...probably out of Wisconsin.

    How was y'alls day?

Oh, I was rolling 69mph through Ohio, and part of PA. Didn't get a bunch of miles today, but I was kinda slacking. I don't deliver until 0700 on Thursday, and I only have 9.5hrs to go.

Try zip ties to get some cardboard on the grill to stay warm.
