    Hey BD, think positive. a few good things about this.
    1 Detroit has a full service parts and reman shop in Tooele, UT. So parts are just a few hours away.
    2 they will most likely use cylinder packs and a reman head, new oil pump. Detroit has 4 levels of kits, so it will depend on what is used.

    So it could be done very quickly and be a good job.
    the answer to the question is if it comes with a Detroit reman warranty. If so, then good to go.

    Thanks for the positive vibes man. I was impressed with how quickly they tore it down, and they also mentioned the availability of parts. I just have a hard time believing their time frame. Of course I know very little about diesel engines so I probably should keep my big yap shut.

    An inframe on the older engines was 25 book hours. Taking my time i always got them done over a 3 day weekend. That's by myself. With a big shop working 2 shifts even with the extra work the newer engibes have, 2 days is very doable.

    Part of LW Miller.
    Have a good size operation, trucking, truck service, truck stops. Think they do sales as well.
