Glad to hear it. That run through Montana is beautiful. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles.

I'm on the road myself. Went home for a couple of nights and headed out this afternoon for a Monday morning Riverside delivery.

Reload in Pomona with a whopping 10k lb load of clothes for Washington Wednesday delivery. I'll reload somewhere up there on Wednesday and head home for another 3 days.

It's starting to pick up a little now, although the rates are down around 10% but will come back up in March. The weather is much warmer, to which I'm well suited ;-)

That would have been Homestake between Butte and Three Forks then you had Cardwel hill shortly after that and Bozeman hill

The 90/94 ride across Montana is verry scenic. It can become some what monotonous at certain times during the year out on the east side.

702 today. Mostly flat and fairly straightforward, this was the same stretch I topped 700 on last time. I had 37 minutes left but nowhere to park so I jumped into the last spot in a no name truck stop in Jamestown, ND. S&R Truck Plaza...guess it does have a name.

Truck is running pretty good, stronger a bit I think on the pulls but still a bit low on the milage.

Hope I'm not offending anyone by saying that ND is pretty dull. And these guys really need to work on their paving skills...lol.

    I'm pretty tired, more later...

It's not just ND folks that need to work on their paving skills... it's everywhere! When you can't keep a pop bottle from rolling around on the seat of a 1/2 ton pickup, that has the suspension of a Cadillac, driving on a brand new paved road.... I think that it screams loud and clear, that pride in your work, and work ethic, have gone to he11 in handbag.

It's everywhere is right. On the paving, it's a combination of things, from governments who contract with construction companies, because somebody's brother in law owns the company, to the construction outfit that cuts corners, to the on the job inspectors who won't do their jobs, to the paving supply companies that cut corners in the batch plants, and on and on.

Well today was short and sweet. A whopping 379 miles with a delivery to a lumber yard in downtown Minneapolis. Saw the new stadium and man is it a sight. That joint may entice a free agent or two to brave the winters there and sign with the Vikings.

So where to next? Your guess is as good as mine. The other driver on this run abruptly left the company today and it seems to have cast a wrench in the works because suddenly my dispatcher doesn't know where to send me. Mellen is the only real option but here I sit. Took a long hot shower and ate a steak dinner with homemade blueberry pie and plan to sleep until I wake up...no alarm and phone turned off. It'll all wait until I get up.

    How was y'alls day?
