Ouch.....man I do feel for you. Did the same thing way back. Yep, was playing sports. Knees are the tough, they take alot of abuse. When you tear one up, it sure put a damper on things. They will heal in time.

Man I'm glad to see I'm not alone here!:)

Yep. Unless they don't. I spent almost 10 years with a painful knee. Then had a complete replacement. And other than the heart attack I had three days later, (not kidding,) that was a very successful surgery!
@Broke Down 69, now is a good time to talk about weight control. And believe me here, I am saying "DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I HAVE DONE..."
When you are in and out of a truck all the time, (not as bad for OTR, but hell for LTL,) you put a LOT of pressure on your knees. Keeping a nice trim girlish:D figure will help that a lot!:yes2557:

Ya know, we really do get brittle as we age. In our teens twenties and early 30s you fall down and practically bounce back up like a rubber ball. But once you hit the mid to late thirties that rubber turns to crystal. We fall down and shatter.

There is some truth in that. Never broke a bone as a kid. Let me tell you, I did some stupid crap when I was young. Fell off a motorcycle at 135+ MPH, all I got was some really nasty road rash. Think I was about 34 when the first one got broken.

Well, thank the Almighty for cruise control. Man is my knee sore. Didn't help much that I had to tarp two full loads today, but I just finished in Craigsville, so I'm Oregon bound...tomorrow. I ran out of hours here and have laid up for the night with plans to roll out about 0400 and get these hills and humps behind me before the sun comes up. Toughest part of this run is the 200 miles at the beginning and the 200 at the end, the other 2500 or so is pretty easy.

Hope y'all had a good day.

The weather should be good out west by then, so you should have a nice ride in. the I-15/84 corridor have had some storms over the last few days. put new snow down. should be good to the weekend. a storm will be moving in off the PNW first part on next week.

since your going to be running this regular, your really going to like it in the spring. some very nice scenery when it all green.

then you have the brown and crunchy months.

One of the most common geriatric injuries are broken hips. Old folks just shouldn't fall.....:biggrin_25513:
