I was working with a kid years ago and his mom was a friend of my ex. One year she broke both legs, one twice and both arms. Not all at the same time.
I told him that he had to make sure she did not get constipated because she would probably break a hip...
He almost peed his pants laughing.

Well, what a change a day can make. Hey BD, your not gonna be happy this weekend. seems that the storm track is gonna have some solid precipitation in it.

Well this sucks balls. Just picked up my load from Odessa, headed to Houston. My brother has the other load of casing on the two truck load.
He headed to Big Springs, planning to drop down to I-10 from there, so he could take advantage of cheap fuel (thank goodness for Fuel Book). I headed south on TX-349.
About 35 miles into my run the temperature started to rise above 200°F.
Uh oh. I pulled over and discovered a radiator hose clamp had come off, the inside of the hose was cracked, and all the fluid came gushing out when I turned off the engine.
Fortunately my brother was at the TA in Big Springs. Picking up a new hose and fluid. I won't have to pay for road service rates. Shouldn't affect our delivery, either.

You need to get some new steel coolant lines made up. That one is rusted pretty bad. Should be able to get stainless made cheaper than the factory plain steel ones.Oxbow, Lepton1, Broke Down 69 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sorry to miss y'all yesterday, I had a pretty tough weather day. Left in a rain that just kept getting harder. By the time I got into Kentucky it was a full blown frog strangler. Then came the wind. Got so bad I shut down in Pittsboro, Indiana after a paltry 480 miles covered. Hit it hard today for 700 exactly and need to do it again tomorrow so I can get to Klamath Falls and reset before my load is ready. Of course I'll kill myself getting there and then they'll leave me setting until Tuesday...life of a.trucker I suppose. Got to grab some sleep now so I can kill it again tomorrow.
Hope y'all had a great day.Airborne, Oxbow, ncmickey and 1 other person Thank this. -
I had my new carrier entrant audit today with the FMCSA. Having worked in compliance for a trucking company, I knew exactly what she would be looking for. I put together this spiral notebook of all the documentation they look for. When I opened it, her jaw dropped and she said in 15 years of auditing, no one had ever come to an audit prepared like I was. Needless to say, I passed with flying colors, not even a recommendation

Plot just thickened. Was in the back winding down to sleep and I heard my trailer brake pop. Got in front to see next to no air pressure in either tank. Cranked her up and watched them fill...slower than usual...then shut it down and got out to search for leaks. Didn't take long. Blown brake chamber spewing out air. In line at the shop now. Glad I caught it now, hopefully they'll get her fixed up tonight while I sleep.
