So this appears to be part of the brake system (parking?) and the dog ears have broke off (DOT Violation) so I want to replace it...but what is this thing called?? - I think Bendix has it...

looks like a quick release to me--its a bit different than the ones i am used to--and since my brain shut down couple of hours ago i cant remember what type it is--but pretty sure it is quick release

That goes to the park side of the brake can, right? The Bendix number is QR-1C, but I bought a different brand for about twenty bucks. Its a quick release with one control.

    Kansas and Hanadarko Thank this.

I'm not sure, but looks like a Park Brake Release Valve. Check for where brake hoses run to? to brake chambers ore to park release chambers?

On some trucks they install brake acceleration valves, but usually it is one for axe + two ABS valves ore a pair of ABS acceleration valves (two in one - accelerating valve+abs valve).

So seems to me it is park brake release accelerating valve.

it is easy to change this valve, but be carefull with air supply line.. I use to dump air before I unscrew supply line. Air pressure may push it out, damage thread ore hit you with fitting!

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

The photo shows a 1/4" PT Balance input. I think mine is 3/8".
The nut on my hose fitting says "3/8 O.D." - so does that mean 3/8 hose or 1/4 ?

There are 3 models they make and only one that LOOKS like the one I got.
I could always swap the adapter or whatever. I need to take a closer look.
It could be a 1/4-3/8 NTP adapter.....that would explain.

sometimes I see european valves on US trucks with inch to metric adapters and I use to screw atapter out (usually M22x1.5) and put it to european valve.

As I can see on picture there are 11/32" mounting ears, so they may easily be used with 8 mm bolts.....
