Broken airbag bolts stuck in front drive axle leaf spring

    Heat won't hurt that leaf spring one bit. It will pop that air bag. I cut them out all the time. Put something around the airbags to keep heat off it. Welding blanket or sheet metal

    Like I said earlier put your flame to the bolt not to the spring.

    Maybe you can get it out with MAPP gas but if you use oxygen and acetylene and you heat that Bolt from the bottom and you heat it from the top the heat will transfer to the center of the bolt and eliminate that rust and you'll be able to knock it out.

    Heating it that way will not bother the spring.

    You could try air chisel to pop it out but likely heat then air chisel. I removed all rivets out of truck frame this way, was very quick.

    Cut air bag bellows apart with box knife and drive the stud out from top.

    Yep, I attended Old Skool and the school of hard knocks! Plus you gotta cut it anyway for extra on scrap pile.
