    Was there any information about the receiver appointment time before you picked up the load? Is there a way to confirm the appointment by contacting the receiver directly about the load before rolling out to the shipper?

    Contact the receiver's management. Explain the situation and tell them to not do business with them anymore.

    This happened to me today. I have the contacts of the customer, and I am going to warn them in the morning. Hit these brokers where it hurts. They put in A LOT of effort to win over the trust of these companies. So take that away from them. People don't like to hear about truck drivers getting royaly screwed like this with no justice. I will make sure they lose a customer that is generating them thousands of dollars every week.

    I admire your plan to get some decent treatment from the broker but do you really believe that the customer is going to care about one guy and one truck?
