Really, rates are thru the roof. Why be worried about brokers? I pull plenty of broker freight and do just fine. You’ve saw the posts where people admit to back solicitation. If the customer rate is on the rate con what do you think will happen? A race to the bottom.

 

It sucks that your desperation is coming through so clearly. You must be on the ropes to be mentioning obscure rules that nobody has ever heard of. I won’t punch down out of the bit of respect remaining.

Jon Jon, I see that you follow Dave around these forums hitting the thanks as quickly as possible. I hate it for you. You as well as Dave have so much potential.

It’s sort of the jealous vs envious argument. Jealous people are victims who will achieve nothing, while those who are envious will be of the mindset to achieve greatness. Choose wisely friends.

That will never happen, unfortunately. It’s been proven time and time again. Competition rules. And it’s healthy in the overall picture. Start setting rates, and it eventually leads to a limit on our income. We’re already somewhat limited through hours of service rules. I see transparency as a good thing when Freight’s tight, and rates are low. Otherwise it can be used to drive good rates lower. Eventually hurting us.
